    Probation period

As of 2022, employers have to include the conditions of any probationary period and its duration in the statement of employment terms.

There’s no law on the length of the probation period, but typically it lasts between three to six months or three months when an employee is moving to a new post internally. However, some protections and benefits, such as a pension, apply at three months regardless of employee status.
